We love our new house. We rented out ours and are renting this one. We have an 18 month lease and so our renters. We called back to switch to a 3 year and our renters want a 3 year lease! Moving is no fun!! So we will see. Our goal is to keep our old house to the market recovers or to keep long term as an investment property. We will see how it plays out. Right now we are just enjoying this beautiful house!

We headed out to Phoenix for thanksgiving. Boy was this an adventure. The girls and I flew out there on my birthday. Brady and his mom drove up there that night. We had some great girl time with just Jodi and I and the girls. We surprised the kids on there way home from school and even surprised the big 8th graders as they got off the bus. Thank goodness they were not that embarrassed that they had their whole family hiding behind a bush and they got off the bus. They are some cool kids cause I know I would have been embarrassed back in the day. That night Jodi wanted to take me out for my birthday dinner but my stomach was hurting. I thought it might have just been menstrual cramps so I treated it for that with midol.

The next day we went and did a crossfit workout with the Hawkins crew and I could not walk for the next 4 days. It was so good. I wanted to do more but my stomach was still in so much pain. Later that day we went to this great jumpy place and jumped for 2 hours straight. I was doing back tucks and backhand springs. This 31 year old can still do it!!!

The next day we got up early and went to watch Deavean play football. He was so cute in his little uniform. PS my stomach is still hurting and this is Thanksgiving. I am thinking it may be constipation so I treat for that and let's just say it was not a great idea. I ended up going to bed really early and leaving everyone.

The next day we go watch Deavean again. He does great. We hit up some black Friday shopping and end it with a night at the park playing a family game of soccer. We then head back home for some Mad Gab, barbie go fish and old maid. It was so much fun to play with everyone.

Our last day we went to the movies and just hung out before we left at 7 PM to drive through the night. The girls did great. I am still in pain but just taking a lot of pain meds.

We get home and I go to the urgent care to see what is going on. He thinks it is just a UTI. He does not think it is my appendix but says it might not be a textbook case and if it still hurts the next day to call so he can order a cat scan. Well it did hurt so off I go to the cat scan and then straight to the hospital to get it out. I had a rare case and it was wrapped around my colon. I was there for one night. I wanted to leave so they let me go the same day as my surgery. We moved 2 days later!!! It was a mad rush. My next post will be of the new house. I love it but wow it was some work getting here. My poor hubby has been working so hard to get everything perfect here and the old house ready for the new renters as I recover for my surgery. Whee I am tired again of just the storyline. I did so much with my appendix about to rupture. I am so glad it did not and I did not have to go the hospital in AZ. Loved being with the Hawkins for thanksgiving though!!!!

I am slowly getting up to date. We have had a lot going on over here. We were in Arizona for 6 days, then the day I get back I go to the doctor and find out I have to have my appendix taken out all 2 days before we are moving and I have to pack, move and clean the old house. Whee I am ready to slow down which it has been this week!!! We love our new house! It is so beautiful.

So here are some Halloween photos. We were in Corpus the weekend before Halloween so we missed a lot of events. We just went trick or treating and had our annual picnic at the park! Addisyn was a cute little lady bug and Cambry was Strawberry Shortcake. We love face paint around here. We do it on a daily basis almost.

Girls first cheerleading competition

The girls are officially competitive cheerleaders. They had their first competition over the weekend before Halloween. It was in Corpus Christi which is about 2 and 1/2 hours away and at the beach. They did pretty good. They got 4th of 9 but did not advance to the next competition cause it was only for the top 3. Which was good and bad. The girls were kind of tired of doing cheerleading but all the other teams advanced and we were the only ones that did not advance. We will be done with cheerleading til next summer. I will not coach again but Addisyn said she wants to do it again. We will see about Cambry I might wait til she is a bit bigger. Although she is awesome and can already do her backhand spring on the trampoline. I am getting them a tumbling mat for Christmas so they can practice inside too.

Overall it was a great season and they sure were cute.

We went shopping and also received free items from "The Talk" but I had to some how fit into my suitcase.

So I am a super Amazing Race fan and I saw one of the girls from the show working as a hostess at the Pink Taco. She was also in beauty pageants and gave a horrible answer.

So my best friend and I are doing an annual girls get away! This year our destination was LA. We may be going back next year because we had so much fun!!! It was one of the best trips I have ever had(minus driving in LA) . We had a busy but fun schedule.

The second we got there we were off, we headed straight to The Price is Right. We barely made it and were running down the street but we made it and then had to wait forever. Like 5 hours of sitting and taping. It was a one time experience. It airs December 13 so set your DVRs. Then we headed to the hotel cause we had been up since like 3 and 4 and we were on a time delay so we were in bed at like 8 LA time but hey we are getting older.

Thursday we were headed to "The Talk" for a double taping. It was really neat. We got great seats both times. The second time they pulled us aside, they were waitng for a few VIP people but they never came so they placed us in those seats. We felt special. I was front and center, first row and all!!!

After that we headed to Ulta for hair and make-up. Then we went to our room to change and have few cocktails before our big Big Brother fianle party. It was awesome!!!

Frida was our free day, we drove around, shopped, ate lunch at places we wanted to, in and out burger and pink taco. We were tired from the night before so we were in bed early and Meghans flight left at 8 AM so we had to be up early. Mine did not leave til like 3:30 and my iphone broke so i had no navagition system but I did find Redondo Beach and was able to people watch and do my bible study. Then I found a mall and it was perfect. Everything went so well and it was great spending time with my best friend of 20 years!!!

Can't wait for next year!!

We have a couple of really cute cheerleaders over here. They really liked it in the beginning but now I think they are done and we are only 1/2 way through the season. So I think this might be our only season. They sure look cute though. They have a competition at the end of October. That should be interesting. Cambry does so well when it is just us but freezes up when she gets in front of a crowd. They sure look cute though!!!

In case you have not noticed birthdays are a big deal around here. We love and live or them. We make sure you know you are special when it your day from the big birthday bashes we have to you waking up and having the table decorated and your chair is the special one with balloons all around it! Addisyn had school on her birthday so we were in a bit of hurry but we did get to enjoy lunch with her(even Daddy). She has never had school on her birthday because preschool does not start to labor day down here so she got to finally celebrate with her friends at school and have cookies with them.

She got a trampoline for her birthday which the girls love(so do daddy and I). They have been putting the sprinkler under it and enjoying it very much!

She had a huge birthday blow out with about 25 friends!!! We got this really crazy big water slide that made the kids fly down, it was scary!!! They loved it and there was also the pool, and pinata. What a fun day she had!

Addisyn is very excited and really enjoying being 5 and starting kindergarten. She is a typical 1st born child with being the over achiever and listens very well. She is always by the book and just a child you do not have worry about because you know she will listen. We tell her she looks like daddy but acts like mommy HAHA. Not sure she has either of our personalities but I will go ahead and take it since she does not look like me. She is also starting to read. So proud of her and she loves for me to sit down and read with her. She also loves arts and coloring. She is very into animals and stuffed animals. We have so many but gosh she loves them.

This fall we are doing cheer and kids choir. Busy girl but loves it all. She also loves Jesus and has him in her heart. I know for sure!!!!

Addisyn did so well and is doing great adjusting to school. If she was sad, it would be a lot harder. She is just a bit tired because we have to get up at 6:30 and we were not getting up til 8 this summer and well yes, we are all adjusting to that.

Addisyn's teachers name is Mrs. Turner and she seems to be great for her. I was praying for a loving teacher and so far Addisyn seems to really be enjoying her.

So tomorrow is her actual birthday and I am going to eat lunch with her!

We are done with our 4 day a week practice for cheerleading. I was figuring the girls were getting a bit tired so I decided to see if the other coaches would agree to have a theme week and every day we would do something silly and just to give it some spice for the girls. My girls really liked it and won on mis match day!!! It was really hot out there. Like 100 and they were out there for 2 hours at time. They did so well and are really enjoying cheerleading. I could not be happier.

Addisyn's birthday is in 2 weeks and she is getting a trampoline for her birthday and I already figured out that they will getting some mats for Christmas so they can work on there backhandsprings here with me!!

Well I am finally back. My computer caught a nasty virus and I had the blue screen of death back in March and now I lost everything on my computer but I have it back. Thank goodness Brady had all the pics on his computer but he does not organize like I do or how I like them.

So we have had a great summer. We did swim lessons, dance class, beach trip. We have had lots of days swimming. Thank goodness cause the high for today is 105!!! My girls are little fish and they love to swim. They both swim freely all over the pool!!!

We also got Fiesta Texas passes this year and have been enjoying that.

So now we are on to CHEERLEADING! I was big into cheerleading growing up and then I coached gymnastics and cheerleading for 6 years!!! So I was super excited to get my girls into it. They are both starting this fall and I am Coach Mommy. It is very intense we are in training right now outside from 6:30-8:30 4 days a week for two weeks but not that it is too bad but with the temps being 105 it is killer. Coach Beth is wearing her heart rate monitor out there and burning 500-700 calories out there too. Which is nice cause at the gym I have been doing yoga the last few weeks which burns a lot less calories but make up for it at night.

They are really enjoying it. I included some pics from this week. Yesterday was silly hair day and today is backwards day(it was my idea to include some fun into the week).

I will try to update more often.

Addisyn had her end of the year choir performance. It is over til September. She did pretty good. I think she got a bit nervous and played with her hair the whole time. I was kind of bummed. Then the next day we went to Learning Express and they had a free acting class and I took Addisyn and they taught her to keep her hands by her side. (If we only went a week earlier) She really liked the acting class and actually learned all her lines. Brady was not as thrilled to see her. I will admit all the other kids were kind of dorky and Brady fears that for Addisyn but whatever she decides we will support her!!! Here are some pictures and video clips.

Well this Valentine's was pretty sad. Addisyn had the flu and was miserable. But on the Friday before we had a Valentine's party with our book club and the girls had a great time. We made Valentine's bags and the kids exchanged Valentine's and had a lunch and plenty of treats. They all had fun with is good due to the fact on the real Valentine's addisyn was miserable and had to miss her school party:(
We took them to Build a Bear a week before Valentine's as their present and we will never being do that again. $85 later the bunny and bear are not being played with.
I got a new pair of running shoes for Valentine's which I love and Brady got a new pair of Under Armor shorts he has been wanting.

Well snow in San Antonio is not very likely so we were so excited to wake up and see snow all over! We hurried and got up and dressed and headed outside. Daddy was not here to play with us but they had fun for about 20 minutes and then they were too cold. We headed back inside for blue snowflake pancakes and hot cocoa. I like the snow but sure am glad I do not live where it is cold a lot. I am not a big fan of the cold and apparently the girls are not either.

We went to Laredo, Texas which is a border town of the United States and Mexico. If you go any farther north on 35 you have to go through border point check so a lot of people live in Laredo and it is not that wealthy of a city. They ministry we went through used to go into Mexico to do work but now they have to stay on this side of the border due to all the crime in Mexico right now which is sad cause they need a lot of work over there.
So went to this church that is one big room and they wanted to add another room for the kids and we built a wall and put in a room for them. We also painted a good part of the church. That is where I stepped in. We went down on Friday and came back Sunday so it was a quick one.
On Sunday we did church service with them and I bought a lot of crafts to do with the kids. They really enjoyed it and so did I. The service was in Spanish so I was not understanding it anyway.
All in all it was a great time. We made some friendships that was really neat. We will do more for sure. This ministry goes to Panama City and I really want to do that one. They used to have to live in a jungle but now they stay in the city and go to the jungle for a few days!! Sounds so cool to me. The only down fall is now Brady does not work for his Dad that time off is bit harder now:(
So neat to see so many different walks of lives that on fire for Jesus!!!

The other night Addisyn went to a dance clinic for one of the local high schools around here so we dropped her off and took Cambry on a date. We ended up going to this hamburger place across from Petsmart. We had plenty of time before we had to go get Addisyn so I said let's take Cambry to Petsmart to just look. Well I had impulse buy!! We went to look at the cat's and I just felt like getting one. So we let Cambry pick it out and name it. She chose the one that played with her the most through the glass. She chose a pretty cute name. We did not even help her. Anyway, this cat has been a big hit. It sleeps with Addisyn and she loves it so much. I do feel bad for Cambry cause she is not as gentle so right now it prefrers Addi over Cambry. I was never a cat person. My mom is allergic and we never had them growing up but I will say it is growing on me for sure!

Well Brady got a new job in May(not so new anymore). Basically he buys land to put in pipelines. So his work location changes often and they are also in pretty rural areas. He was living in an apartment for the first 6 months but then he bought an RV. He bought a small one and then he decided to upgrade and got a bigger one so we decided to go and visit. I call it camping cause the sign said camping RV grounds. But basically it is where Brady lives when he is not here. It was interesting... when we got there it was like 7 and Cambry slept the whole way up there but she thought the bunk beds were cool so she wanted to go to sleep. Don't worry she did not go to sleep til like 10:30. Then Brady had not got "all the kinks" work out. So we found out it needs a new battery. Not a big deal but the CO2 alarm kept going off. I thought we were going to die of poisioning. I was very close to going home. But Brady had unhooked the propane so he promised it was safe. We survived!!! We will go in the summer, it is right on the lake, has a pool, fishing, paddle boats.

Happy New Year girls!!!
We had a group of friends and their kids over for New Years Eve. We did fireworks with everyone and our neighbors out front. It was a lot of fun. The girls loved the sparklers. The hubbies were old and did not even make it til 12. They were passed out at like 11. My how times have changed!
Cambry started Soccershots. It is like a weekly day where they practice soccer. They do not have games. It is good for her age. The whole class is our friends so they are all having a great time. The 1st day it was so cold. Like 35 and that is cold for us. She made it like 20 minutes. This past week my mom took her while I was at my facial!! She did great though.
Monday was MLK day and we headed to Artworks where they have like 12 different art stations. The girls had a blast. They had homemade playdoh which of course prompted me to make playdoh when I got home. I have not made it with my girls. I made it with the kids I nannied for but not with my girls. They loved it.
The girls got a cute cookbook from my Aunt for Christmas that has different kid friendly desserts to cook. We are going to try to do one once a week. We made chocolate truffles. They were good, I had to try a few.
Tonight we are headed to Brady's new RV out in Luling, TX. Should be interesting.

They were somewhat like the other days. We were busy and I did not get a chance to be at home and make all meals and picture them. But now I am going to do it somewhat next week.

Day 5

Dinner=this is the wrong picture but I deleted the other one. It was broccoli, grilled turkey and 1/2 sweet potato.

Well I not that disciplined. Lets start out with breakfast I tried to make my steel cut oats with frozen blueberries, strawberries. I think it looks too runny and I did not like the way it tasted! So I had regular oatmeal(the instant one from heb called maple syrup) with flax seed and wheat germ. That is the only way I can eat it apparently. I also had 2 egg whites.
Snack time was too busy for me to eat so I skipped it.
Lunch I did good.
Afternoon snack was this bar I got from running my marathon. It was a sample bar and I checked out the ingredients and it looked good so I had it
Dinner was great and normal.
This is getting hard. Tomorrow which is today is going to be bad! :(
I took the day off from the gym but did my normal ab work and push-ups I do every night before I go to bed.

Day 4

This is our busy day, take Addisyn to school, hit up the grocery store to stock up on more eggs, sweet potato and aluminum foil. Then we headed to my daughters my first day of soccer, it was outside and cold. I had to be prepared and pack a bit of a cooler. I packed my protein powder and apple. After we left there we headed to the doctor to see how her ears were looking. Great, yay! and then we came home for lunch and then pick up Addisyn home for a bit then took her to kids choir, I went to the gym while she was there and then back home. So I had to prepare and think ahead. I thought I could simply poor the protein powder into a water bottle. Wrong, wrong wrong, it went everywhere so I had to enjoy my protein shake in my 2 year old daughters sippy cup. Nice, I am sure I looked pretty cool but hey it got the job done!
So at the gym I did 30 minutes of stair stepper and 15 minutes on the elliptical. I burned 550 calories. I was working it in the short amount of time I had.
I did have my bread comb. It is my guilty pleasure. I did also have a fudge pop. I know I have no self discipline but hey I am eating a lot better then I normally do.

Day 3

Breakfast-2 egg whites and 1 whole egg with green and red peppers chopped. 1/4 of an avocado.

Morning Snack-Turkey breast cutlet(3 ounces cooked in a bit of oil olive)1 Fuji apple

lunch-3 ounce chicken breast, steamed green beans and the ever famous sweet potato

My altered snack-1 piece of whole grain bread, natural peanut butter, sprinkled with flaxseed and 1/4 of a banana. This is yummy

Dinner-3 ounce bison, steamed zucchini, and 1/2 sweet potato
It was a better day. Instead of going to the gym I just did my treadmill at home. I did 30 minutes and ran, walked fast with weights in hand, walked at an incline. Did not have my heart rate monitor on but guess I burned about 250 calories.
I also did not follow the meal exactly as planned and had the bread.
Have not lost much weigh but I am seeing my abs coming through again finally. Keep trucking along!

Yummy steamed broccoli, 3 ounce chicken breast and 1/2 sweet potato. If I liked fish it would be so much easier.
So yesterday I went to the gym and did 30 minutes of step and 30 minutes of weight training. I burned 600 calories. I did sneak in a piece of whole wheat toast with natural peanut butter.
But ok to be honest, I was talking to my bff and she had me convinced to quit and just live life. Ok so then I read the book so more and realized that this is not just about weight, but it is also about being healthy in general. Off course I would love to loose 10 pounds but having glowing skin and be able to be active my whole life sounds good to me.
But also my husband travels Monday-Friday and my will power at night time is so bad. I have him here on the weekends to keep me in check but not last night. After I got the kids to bed, I sat down to watch "The Bachelor" and was hungry so I snacked on yet another whole wheat bread with just a tiny bit of PB and 1/4 of a sliced banana. Well you might be thinking that is not bad but then I went to let the dogs out and these dang mini ice cream sandwiches were literally calling my name. I caved in and had 2. I was thinking well it is only 160 calories for two cause I am so used to counting calories but it is the sugar that is not good for me when I am doing this cooler one plan. Oh well, it happened I felt horrible afterwards and will try to stay strong today. My kids will get those for dessert today or they are getting thrown out. No more in this house. I can not handle the temptation.
So day 2 not the best but day 3 is going great!!

All went well yesterday expect the steel cut oats, with flaxseed and wheat germ. It was not that great. The taste was just... well had not taste and the texture.... uhh not for me. Today I tried it with a bit of Cinnamon but still not feeling it. I am going to buy some real oats and try that maybe add some fruit for a bit of flavor. I am really stepping out of my comfort zone here. Never had bison before but tastes just like ground beef, it was great. Never had bok choy, I really liked the stalk (white part better). Also never been a big fan of sweet potatoe but giving it a chance and it is growing on me. I also do not eat fish. She does have fish as opinions but since I do not like it I am sticking to bison, chicken, and turkey. I did also have a slice of 100% whole wheat bread with organic all natural peanut butter(1 tbsp). I am feeling like I needed it!!!
But so far so good. I am hoping to keep on chugging along. Yesterday was day off at the gym. I will hit it up today though.

I went to HEB and Sun Harvest and Costco to stock up for this week. I didn't have to go to the all the different locations but Sun Harvest does not carry bison and I was already at Costco.
I love the way all the food looks with all the colors.
To prepare yesterday I divided out all the bison in to 3 ounces and the turkey cutlets into 7 ounces(eat 3 and save the rest for my kids)

I am starting this eat clean diet for 2 weeks. I am going to have this blog to keep me accountable. Every day I am going to post my meals and that way if someone else wants to try it, great. It is geared though people that need help with the last 5-10 pounds(ding,ding,ding) about to do a photo shoot, hitting plateaus, and muscle definition. This is not a diet but a lifestyle change. Get all the processed food out of your house, no more eating out and change the way you feel. This week, I have been trying to eat cleaner and get ready for next week. I hope to see some great results. Maybe help some people that are in a habit of eating all processed canned, frozen food. It is not great for you or your kids. I will also let you know if it is more expensive. I am thinking it should be about the same. My friend Carla is one week a head of me and doing great. She says the prices were about the same. You are only supposed to this meal plan for 2 weeks and then switch to another one that allows dairy and carbs. In this one we are only getting carbs from your fruit mainly and oatmeal. I hope some others will try this out. I am following a book from Tosca Reno, The Eat-clean Diet recharged!

Hope everyone had a great New Year's eve and day. With this comes resolutions. I wanted you all to check out what my family is going to do. We are going to "eat clean" no processed food for 30 days and hopefully change it to a full time deal. Check out on www.youtube.com and search for fikes0422. She has 2 boys and is going to cooking for her family. Her theory is eat more like Jesus! As you will see she is not big but wants to be lean. Same with me, I would say I am not big but could stand to loss the fat and gain muscle.
Anyway, wanted to jump on here and share it with you. We are going to try it out. It is not a diet but hopefully a lifestyle change!!!!

So Addisyn had a 2 week break from school and I and 2 week break from watching the little kids I watch on Tuesday and Thursday so it just so happened Daddy was not busy with work so we have been having some fun times around here. Also we got a surprise visit from our beloved cousin who drove in from Arizona. The girls were so excited(we were too of course). They came for a quick trip but anytime we get with them is great!
We went to Pump it Up with them and had a blast! We had slumber party over here with them and then the girls and I went to princess playtime where they got their hair, nails, and make up done. Ok, so they asked Addisyn if she wanted her hair to be straight or curly and she chose straight. Wow, that is all I have to say, check out the pics and you will see why I said wow! You will see super dad meet me up there. He is such a good dad. It was open to the public so I figured there would be a lot of people there, but we were the only ones so I pleaded for him to come up and meet me.
We also hit up the children's museum and lots of time at Grandma's. The girls also got to spend the night at GeGa's and look at Christmas lights with her and drink hot coco. We have been busy.

We had a busy weekend. Addisyn had 2 performances. She sang at her "Breakfast with Santa" at her school. Video below, please bare with the bad filming, I was holding Cambry and trying to film. The we headed off to watch her gymnastics debut. She did really great. There were tons of people there and her group was the first to go on. What a change from last year! She would not even sing last year but this year, front row performing little Queen. She told me she is done with gymnastics but she wants to do cheerleading(I did not push that) so I told her she needs to keep up gymnastics if she wants to do cheerleading. I was really big into cheerleading and not to toot my own horn but caught on really easily and I was pretty good. I thought Cambry would follow in my footsteps but if Addisyn wants to try I am all for it. Kind of, it is very expensive to have them do all-stars at a young age. We will cross that bridge when we get there!
Thursday Addisyn was complaining her ear hurt so I made an appointment for Friday. But she was complaining all day so we decided to go that night. They have this after hours doctors office which my girls now love cause they give you a Popsicle and you get to go to the treasure box on the way out! But Addisyn did have a double ear infection. Well Saturday Cambry had fever and was acting really grumpy. So she said her ear hurt but I was thinking she just wanted to go to the doctor like Addisyn. On Thursday she was really sad the doctor did not "doctor her". But she had an ear infection as well and both girls go Popsicles and treasure box treats again. Poor girls, I thought we had grown out of these ear infections. But glad to say they are a lot less grumpy this week:)

We went to Bass Pro shop who has a Santa and gives a picture away for free. We go there every year. The girls love that store. It is kind of like going to the zoo for them. It is a really neat store with all kinds of stuffed animals(real, not kids stuffed animals) and a huge fish tank. This year we went with 4 other families. It was really fun to see all the kids reaction. Some cried, well lots cried but our 2 were at the age this year where they were really excited and told Santa what they wanted. Addisyn wants Penbo a robot penguin and Cambry wants a walking baby!
Saturday we saw Santa at Addisyn's school where they hosted breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Clause. They were so at ease with them and hugged them both. It was really cute.

What a week it has been. I turned 30 on Monday!!! Addisyn had a school performance on Tuesday. We had a lot of time to hang out with Gee Ga this week cause she was not working. We went to the movies and decorated for Christmas.
Thanksgiving we headed over to Gee Ga's for Brunch and made ginger bread houses. The girls loved it and are still snacking on the candy for their desserts!!! Addisyn sure wishes she put more Hersey kisses on hers. Then we headed over to Brady's grandparents house and enjoyed some more yummy food!
Of course I did some black Friday shopping but did not have to many items to get but did get all the items I was on the prowl for. Then it was such a great day, we headed to the zoo for a bit and now we are trying t figure out what to do with the rest of our long weekend! Brady was not able to decorate outside cause our friend who has our ladder is out of town to Monday so hopefully Weds.

We did our1/2 marathon this weekend and we survived. We did pretty good. Not as great as I wanted to do but hey not training might be the reason. We ran almost all the miles and walked for a 3/4 of a mile. I think I could have ran the whole thing but walked with my hubby for a bit since he was doing this for me. My time was 2:33 and his was 2:35. I left him at the last mile cause I realized I was not going to make my time of under 2:30 but I guess I should have left him a bit earlier. It was a great experience and it was just so well put together. Next year we are going to do the relays with our moms. We will run and do the first 7.5 miles and meet them and walk the rest of it with them. I think it is neat.
I also got a big surprise on Friday. I was instructed by my husband that he was going to come home at 1 and we were going to do something fun for my birthday. So I went to the gym in the AM and then came home got ready for my surprise and had a few minutes to sit down and watch a quick show and dozed off for a second... then my doorbell was ringing and I went downstairs to answer it and to my surprise it was my BFF since 5th grade with her 8 month old that I had not met standing at the door. It was so neat of them to pull it off with out me knowing. So we go to hang out with each other all weekend. It was fun. What a great weekend. My birthday is not even until next Monday but I am sure getting spoiled for my 30th birthday.

Really why did I sign up for the 1/2 marathon. It is this Sunday and I starting to realize how crazy I am. I did this in hopes of being in the best shape of my life at 30. My birthday is the following Monday or actually the Monday after. I will say I am pretty good shape. We joined the gym 6 months ago and I go 4 times a week for at least an hour. But running is a different story. The most I have ran is 6 and 1/2. My goal is to run 7 walk 1 and then run the rest and finish in 2:30. We will see. Brady is doing it with me too! He wants to run the whole thing so maybe he will motivate me to run the whole time. I just hope I do not cramp. This will at least be another check for me off my bucket list.
Anyway just wish me luck and I will post how I end up doing!

We had a fun Halloween weekend! We took the girls to a festival at her school and did a tractor ride, played some games and went "trunk-or-treating". Then it was off to Aunt's for the girls and Brady and I went to a party across the street with some of the other neighbors. It was a lot of fun. We got the girls the next day and had fun, pot luck party at the park with a lot of neighbors and then went trick-or-treating. Did I ever tell you how much I love my neighborhood. It is just filled with young kids and great people. We all have young kids, we do MNO at each others home, we all go to the same gym and the same church. It is really amazing how all get a long so well.
I also just adore my husband. He is so good to me and our family. He is such a good sport and totes along to all the activities we have planned or I have planned for us.
So another Halloween done and a successful one! Now I just want all this candy gone cause I love it too much!!!!

We have had a busy but fun October. All of a sudden this year has BEEN Crazy. Addisyn is in kid's choir goes to school 2 days a week and does tumbling at her school. We are also part of book club that meets once a month on Fridays and the kids read a book and do an activity that goes along with the book. Cambry goes to library time with me every Monday and Weds she has her gymnastics and play group on Weds.
Tuesday and Thursday I watch two sweet kids over here Brady who is 3 and Cassie who is 1. So I have a 1,2,3,4 year old over here. They are all so good together and have lots of fun.
We have been enjoying this awesome weather, went to a Dallas Cowboys football game, tons of birthday parties, and went to Blanco to hang out with the family. Going to try to get Addisyn in horse riding lessons so she can do the rodeo in Blanco in May.
On top of all this fun, Brady bought an RV for his new job and now lives in one. He has been in an apartment since May but wanted to get an RV so he can move with his job and so far seems to like it. We have yet to go and visit him but will try to sometime soon. He is LOVING his new job and doing very well at it. I am very proud of him. Of course I miss him but we do get to see him a lot compared to the others he works with.
Hope to get on here next week and post Halloween pictures. We will be going to the fall festival at Addisyn's school and a neighborhood party and trick-or-treating of course.

Brady turns 30!!!

Brady turned 30 September 25!! We had fun celebrating and had a bbq with his friends. A tradition around here is to decorate the table and have balloons and your chair is decorated on your birthday. So of course we did it for Dad. We also made some beautiful cards with glitter paint and stamps.

For his birthday we went to Longhorn Steak house with his mom and Ronnie and the girls. Afterward the girls went with Grandma for the night and we went to hit some golf balls and sad to say we ended the night at HEB. Funny I know but that is what he wanted to do to prepare for the bbq and we were not rushed on Sunday. It was nice.

We are so lucky to have Brady and hope to have him around for another 60.

My 30th is in 2 months so I am next!!!!

Addisyn started 4-k this year and loves it. She has always loved school. She loves learning. The other morning she woke up screaming for me and said, "Mom, mom!" I get in there and she says, " S says SSSSSS. " Really honey, were you dreaming about that. She is learning a lot and has can spell her first and last name now. She got a great teacher, Ms. Leslie. She goes Monday and Wednesday and now goes early on Wednesday to do tumbling for 45 minutes before school starts. She started kids choir this year and really loves it. She says she is shy and never gets the prize for being the loudest. Of course we told Grandma and she says she will buy her the prize! LOL too cute. I did feel bad for her too!

Well a bit early... I do not turn 30 til November but my life long best friend turns in September so we celebrated together. It was great. We went with her mom, sister and sister in law. We did all the typical NYC things. We went to a rooftop bar, went on a double decker bus which took us to China town and then to the world trade centers. We went to a fancy dinner at STK which is popular in LA not so much in NYC. Then we hit the town for good time. We also went to see Mr. Liberty and went on a water taxi, went for a walk in Center Park(very short). To FAO Scwartz and then to Little Italy for dinner and finished up with a walk in Time Central. So fun!!!

Addisyn had her 4th birthday party. She had a blast and we had a great turn out. It was a great day. Addisyn is such a smart girl. She says the greatest things. She can count to 20, recognize lots of letters and numbers. She can write her name and next year she goes to kindergarten. The best thing about Addisyn is her kind heart. She has a heart of gold and loves her family so much. She really loves her sister and takes such good care of her. She is soo sweet. She is also really proper, hard to describe but she just says the funniest things.
I love her so much and she is such a blessing to our family.

We had a fun 4th. We went to the end of the street and did fireworks the night before. The kids had a blast. The next day we headed out to Randolph AFB along with the rest of San Antonio and seriously it took 2 hours to get there which it should have only took 20. So by the time we got there, we sat down saw the fireworks and left. We all still had a great time.

So I am over due from blogging. Trying to caught up. 4 cousins came from AZ to spent 2 weeks with the family over here. We had a great time with them and we took our annual beach trip. It was great. Addisyn learned to swim there. She was in swim lessons prior to that but it all clicked and she is such a great swimmer now. I am very proud of her. The cousins are so great and sweet and caring with my girls. It melts my heart how much they love my girls!! We love them so much too.

We had a blast with my sisters kids. She is so brave, she drove from St.Louis to here 16 hours by herself with 4 kids. Crazy, I know. But they are all such great kids and so well behaved. Addisyn just loves her cousins. It makes me sad cause I know she would love to have little cousins here all the time.

We went to Sea World, hung out, princess playtime with the girls and also went and had the worlds largest pizza. I just love being around family.

This summer Addisyn decided to try out dance with her good friend Quin and I decided to put Cambry into The Little gym for gymnastics. They both are enjoying their activities. The funniest part is that Addisyn's favorite thing about dance and the only reason she wants to keep doing dance is due to the really cute doggy daycare that has like 50 dogs outside in this fenced in area that we get to see before and after class. I mean that is really her favorite part. I think she could care less about the dancing part. I just do not know what to do with this girl. Maybe I should look into some zoo classes then!
Cambry loves gymnastics and is excited that it is for her and not Addisyn. She says, "It's my turn Addi, not yours." Which sounds mean but I am happy for her cause it is normally all about Addisyn and her activities.

My friend has a lake house that she goes and stays at every summer and it is about 1 hour 15 minutes away. I think it is so cool, it is the same lake house she grew up going to every summer since she was born and she is now 34 and taking her kids every summer. Her sister and her brother go up there too. Well she invited us to go and play and the kids had a great time. Addisyn is now requesting a boat all the time. I have some fun loving girls who like to try anything. They even tried the tube being pulled by the boat. They live close to this sand bar that the girls just loved and it was swallow all the way around this area. We had a great time and hope to go back one more time before the summer is over.

This is a great neat park for special needs but you do not have to have special needs. It was so neat and great and the girls just have a blast. They have so many neat things from sand and water and train and cars to drive. You can bring food in to eat. I am not a "cryer" but I watched a special on the man who created this and how he did it for his daughter, I wanted to cry. He has a daughter named Morgan who is 16 and is 6'4, she is special needs and wanted to create something for her since she never had the same opportunities as other kids. I mean seriously this man is so great and such a neat story. I am going to go back for sure!!!!

I have not been blogging much and have not been taking too many pictures. Not sure why but I am sure with all the events we have going on this summer I will make up for it. Tomorrow Addisyn has her 1st day of dance so I will have pictures of that for sure. Then Cambry has gymnastics, Addisyn has cheer camp and swim lessons and VBS and on and on!!!

Big news though, Brady GOT A NEW JOB! It is a good and a bad thing. A great job and great company but he will be living in a small town 1 1/2 hours away in Nixon, TX. He will come home and we will visit but it will be a change for sure. But the Lord gave him this opportunity and we had to accept. We will continue to pray for an easy transition for everyone. I got to get my gym membership back and we have been enjoying that. They have a great pool and I love the classes they have there for me to work out! I have been hitting it strong.

Soccer season is over (YAY) did I say that out loud! It is way too hot to have 2:30 games and sit in the sun melting when you daughter does not play. No more soccer for us.

Cambry is my wild girl and had Madagascar themed party. We had a small one with just family but our family is a party in its own and she sure did feel special. She woke up on her birthday to steamers and the whole house decorated for the party later that day. Then there were 20 balloons all in the playroom for when she exited her room.(My friend Jenny did that for her girl and thought it was cute but my fear was she would wake up in the middle of the night ready to party) Then we got to go and pick out her cake. She just thought that was the coolest. Nap time and then party time. We just hung out, ate and opened presents(her favorite part). She really had a special day!

She was the same height and weight as Addisyn when she was two. As for you sweet girl, you are very feisty and have your own opinion! You have a very sweet side too. You love babies and take such good care of them. I know one day you are going to be a great mom. I think you might do something with kids when you grow up. We are going to start potty training you in the beginning of June. You go all the time on the potty right now just not all the time. You have so many words! They may not be the clearest but you sure do say a lot. You can count to 10 and know your ABC's. You love to swing. You go just as high as Addisyn does on the big girl swing and give mommy a heart attack. I cherish everyday with you and love to spend one time on you!

We had a wonderful Easter! We went to church Saturday night and Sunday spent the morning here with our GeeGa and then went to Brady's grandparents house for a yummy lunch and a egg hunt. The girls loved hunting eggs so much this year. We hid the same eggs over a dozen times. Then they would hid them. Cambry loved to hid all of them in one spot and the same spot every time. Then when it was time to find them, she acted so surprised that they were there. It was priceless. They looked beautiful and had a great time!

Addisyn is on the Lions soccer team this year and she is loving it. Our neighbor down the street has their son on the team as well and they have so much fun(I think that is why Addisyn likes it). Well she is doing so great and even scored a goal!! She is still very girly girl, she comes out to apply lipstick, stops to comment on other girls shoes during practice and likes to wear skorts! We still have a lot more left of the season but I am EXCITED! It is so funny how proud I felt when she scored a goal. I can't wait to see how else she is going to WOW me over the years.

We went and took some Easter pictures with this lady who was advertising to be a new photographer. Well as you can see she seemed pretty new. The sheet was not ironed and it was just not that great but hey for $35 bucks what can you expect. They did get a few good shots but most of all the girls had a great time playing with the live bunnies so that was worth it. They both were completely throwing a fit when it was time to leave. Mental note: never by them bunnies!! They just seem messy and not something I ever want to deal with. Addisyn also had her first soccer game of the year and I will post more pics on that soon and a video of her scoring her 1st goal. I am so proud of my star soccer player!!!

Brady and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary. We went to this neat place in Austin that had put put, bowling, laser tag, rock climbing and games. It was something different and was a lot of fun. We normally just do dinner and a movie but we spiced it up this year. We are also thinking about doing the Great Urban Race this Saturday in Austin. It is like a mini Amazing race. Seems fun but really fun just have not decided yet. I have a huge passion for the Amazing race!!!! Anyway, we had a great time and Brady's sister and husband were in town so they went with us. Fun time was had by all. We have had a lot go on in these past 4 years and we are still learning the ropes and how to figure out this whole marriage thing! We are getting down, thank goodness we have many more years to keep practicing at it. Can't wait to see what this year has in store for us. I am hoping it is an AMAZING one, if you know what I mean(some do) ;) !!!

Addisyn has her 5 cousins in town which means non stop fun for all. Well I am having fun just very tired. I am going to bed early tonight which is extra early due to the time change. We have been going non stop it feels like. Today we did the Natural Bridge Caverns and yesterday we had a 3 hour picnic at the park. Tomorrow they are going to Fiesta Texas but we are going to pass on that one. It is always such a great time and the girls just adore their cousins. I think they adore them as well.
We were not so sure if we were going to go to the caverns since it was right in the middle of nap time and last night Addisyn went to bed at 11:30 and woke up at 7 but I am glad we did. She had a great time and loved taking pictures of all her favorite rocks. Cambry was not as pleased until a drop of water fell on her and then she thought it was really cool! Ending off the trip with a Popsicle was great.

Finally it is feeling like spring. It has been a cold winter(for Texas). I have been missing the sun. Hopefully it will ease into summer and we will actually have a spring. We had a blast playing outside today!

1st 10K for Brady and Beth

I have kind of got into running lately. Well I do not really enjoy it all the way but I do enjoy being challenged. So Brady I did a 10K a few weekends back. It is 6.2 miles. We finished in 1 hour and 6 seconds... grrr I was so mad, I really wanted to do it under 1 hour. We could not see the clock til literally the last 3 seconds and we sprinted but did not make it. Oh well, at least we did it. I am going to try and do the 1/2 marathon in November. It is right around my 30 birthday and how cool would it be to be in the best shape of my life at 30. That s what I am going for at least. Brady is going to do it will me as well but he will not train. He loves to just go out there and do it. MEN!!! Anyway, when we got there they were giving out water, bananas and cookies. If you know me you know I have the worlds biggest sweet tooth. If I did not like sweets I would be so skinny. Anyway, that is all I thought about during the race was that big cookie and man was it the best cookie ever when I ate it. Too bad I consumed all the calories I had just burned in that one cookie!!!

We went to the rodeo with Grandma and Grandpa Ron. Addisyn went last year with them but this year we all went. We had such a fun time. The girls really love animals and especially Addi. We rode ponies, walked with pigs, the petting zoo and carnival rides. They got to do it all! Thanks Grandma for the fun time they had a blast!

Yes that is right, she has been dying to get one. Lat year I won a free cut at this cute little kids place to cut it and so I thought we would try it out. When we got there the lady was like you really want me to cut it and I said yes to trim it up and she was not wanting to. So we had her wash her hair and put her in the chair. Once she got her in the chair she thought the ends did look a little dead so she cute off just a bit. Addisyn was so "brave" as she says. She has talked about it all week. She is such a doll. Since it was such a small trim they did not even charge us! Sharkey's cuts for kids is great and very friendly!!!!!!

We had a great Christmas. We started out and headed out to Brady's dad house and celebrated with that side of the family. We even had Brady's Aunt and Uncle from Indianapolis in town. It was great and we even saw a few snow flurries. I just went to look to see if I had any pictures but I guess I forgot to take some. What a bummer.
We were then off to church and it was amazing as always, the girls did great and Addisyn was really understanding that we were there and Christmas was to celebrate Jesus's birthday. She listened and was singing. Cambry on the other hand, lets just say that girl can not sit still and we had to leave. She really wanted to take communion.
We then headed home to bake cookies and make reindeer food and read T'was the night before Christmas.(my sister does that tradition and I thought it would be cute to do it too) Once the girls were down, Brady's fun started and he had a horse to put together which was not bad at all and then Cambry's baby center. It has 46 steps and took the whole time we watched Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

Christmas morning was just great. I always thought about moments like these. Addisyn was super excited about her horse. She even opened all her presents on the horse. I am sad to say the horse went back to the store. The tail and head broke within 1 week. Can you imagine what would happen if we had it any longer then that? So she was ok with that, she actually only touched it on Christmas and then forgot about it. Cambry loved opening the presents. After awhile, I do not even think she looked to see what it was, she was just enjoying tearing open the present. They did sit there for 1 month and then finally she was able to have at it. My mom came over in the AM and we worked on my big Christmas lunch. It included my first turkey with turned out great, I think. So we stayed here all day and ate and played. We then headed to Aunt's house and enjoyed Brady's mom side of the family. It was such a great day and seemed to be very relaxing.

We also had to have another Christmas with Brady's Mom side of the family because she was in New Mexico on Christmas so that Sunday they all came over her to celebrate It s nice to break it up. The girls loved it. I had a great idea on Christmas day which is Friday to paint our living room and get new decor. Well do to the fact that we had the party here on Sunday we were really busy painting and trying to get it all ready. We worked ALL day Saturday. I really appreciate my husband going for it. I love it by the way!

Overall it was great holiday season, gingerbread house making, cookie exchanges, Sea World visits, Addisyn getting to go over to her great friend Natalie's house. We are blessed and hope for a great and healthy year in 2010. We wish the same for everyone else too.

My girls, boy is it hard to get a good picture.
I love this time of year! Christmas parties, breakfast with Santa, cookie exchanges, and of course SEA WORLD!!! We always have such a good time there. We went there this past weekend on the coldest day of the year. It was like 30! That is cold for us. It was sunny so it was not too bad but it was actually feeling like winter. So we played, saw the Elmo show and Sis was so mad when Elmo left the stage. Thank goodness he was not gone for long. We also saw the wonderful 3D Polar Express movie they have there. It amazes me that they can put that long movie into 18 minutes and you are able to basically get the same thing out it. Great time was had by all.

I included a photo of Addisyn in her Awanas vest(pretty dorky). I am so proud this girl she gets her versus every week. This is one of the versus she had to remember, " Oh give thanks to the Lord that gave great light, sun by day, moon and stars by night". That is pretty hard for a 3 year old I think. This weeks is ,"For unto you is born this day.... a Savior, which is Christ the Lord."

Well my camera broke on Halloween night at Addisyn's school festival. Which I wish I had cause they girls had such good time. Addi loved it but what 3 year old would not want to run up and say "trick or treat" and get candy. Anyway, the next day she told me she wanted to go again and she would go by herself and say trick or treat and use her manners. We had a carnival at her pre school and she loved it. Party at the park with our neighbors and then went trick or treating. We went to Sea World on Friday with some friends and Brady and I went to a party and were Jon and Kate Plus 8.
FUN FUN Halloweeen. I love this time of year.
Right now poor Cambry has poor Hand foot and mouth virus and another double ear infection. She is feeling so bad. ENT here we come.

Somehow or another, she decided that she wanted play. She is doing so well. We went to practice last Wednesday and she practiced and then we had a game on Saturday and a make up on Sunday and she played in both. I am so proud of her. She may not be the best but hey she is on the field and running and trying. She even kicked the ball a few times.

18 months old

Cambry turned 18 months old yesterday. To be honest with you, I was just happened to look at the date and realized, oh my, today is your 18 month birthday. With Addisyn, I had it marked down and we celebrated.
Well about my sweet my little girl, I included a video of all the words she can say, well not all but the ones I could think of at the time. She really does talk a lot. She wants to be just like Addisyn. I will give them both their cups to drink and as soon as Addisyn is done and says, here mom. Cambry does the exact same, here mom and she is not even done but if Addisyn is done then she is done. If Addisyn has a stuffed dog, then she has a stuffed dog under her arm too. It is really what I had envisioned. They are started to be such great friends. I do not mind her copying Addisyn, Addisyn is so well mannered and eager to please.
Cambry's favorite word is no. I mean like when they watch Dora and she asked for help Cambry always says no. There is only like one time in the show when "No" is the correct answer which is why I think she started it but now she says it all the time. I will ask her if she wants a snack and she replys no when she means yes. So she is not saying it to be rude, just likes to say no.
She is really into baby dolls. Addisyn was more of an animal, stuffed animal girl but Cambry loves her babies and kisses them and loves to push them in the stroller.
Our neighborhood girls that are like in 1st grade just love Cambry. I think they think she is a live doll. They all want to play with her. I feel a bit bad for Addisyn, they other day we showed up and Cambry was still asleep and they were so excited for Cambry and then she was not there and we were like but here is Addi and they just kind of walked off. Not like Addisyn does not get enough attention for everyone else!
She is still getting her ear infections. I just never even know she has them cause she is a tough girl. I only know that is she has any type of drainage then there will be an infection in our near future.
She will probably be our kid that is a bit more opinionated. Which will keep us on our toes. She likes to be climbing and jumping and can never sit still. She is very different then Addisyn in that manner. As Addisyn got older she did calm down so I am kind of hoping that for Cambry.
But she is so perfect for our famlily. I could have not picked a better fit for our family. God sure does know what he is doing. I thank him everyday for our beautiful healthy girls and count my blessings!
