Christmas 2007

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I know we did. We were blessed to be with most of our family and celebrate Jesus' birthday. We had a couple of full days. Christmas eve we headed to church at 4 and then had GG, Grandad, Grandma and Grandpa Slaughter, Aunt and James over for dinner and presents. Christmas morning I made a breakfast casserole and my mom came over and ate and did presents. Addisyn napped and then off to Blanco for a country style Christmas with goats, cows, horses and chickens, which Addisyn loved. I forgot my camera and missed a lot of cute pics.

Almost Christmas

Here is a cute video of Addisyn with all the new things she is learning. She was a little distracted but you can see that she is learning her body parts and learning her animal noises. She also blows the best kisses. That was what I was trying to remember to have her to do.

She is so cute. We go to the gym about 3 times a week and I meet my friend Ann there and her son Liam who is exactly 1 month younger then Addisyn, anyway they play together pretty well. Addisyn can be a bit rough and sometimes hits. We went to pick them up yesterday and they were telling how Addisyn was pushing Liam and I was like oh no but she went on and meant that she was pushing him in this little car toy. I was so relieved that she was not being mean. They even said that she was very nice and if another kid was crying she would go up and hug them. Melts my heart. We also try to go the pool once a week with her. They have this slide that I would say is about 5 feet from the ground, pretty big and Daddy was too scared to let her try. Well we did it on Thursday and she loved it. She was not scared at all. Of course Brady did not let her go under at the end and would caught her. She is becoming quite the fish. She just walks in the water everywhere and does not care if she falls or going under. I am glad that I have her signed up for swim lessons next semester.

We have had a couple Christmas parties and I had 2 cookies exchange and I made a total of 11 dozen cookies. We brought some to the workers at the gym and some to our neighbors. Thank goodness.

I had a Doctor appointment and everything looks great with Baby girl. Still no name though.

If you are traveling stay safe and Merry Christmas!!!

15 month Check up and Santa Visit

Addisyn had her 15 month check up almost a month late. Our peds office is so busy. I am trying to find another one but anyway she had a cough 2 weeks ago and then started to drain. She is always getting sick now that we go to the gym 3-4 times a week and church 1-2 times a week but what can you do. Well come to find out today she has a double ear infection. She is also cutting 3 teeth and this morning before the Dr. I was so frustrated with her for being so fussy but poor thing probably did not feel well. I feel so bad but she had no other signs of being sick. She can be high maintenance so I figured she was just being that way. So we started our 1st dose of antibiotics. 15 months, not too bad. Other then that she looks great. She was 20 pounds 10 ounces which is 10-25% and 29 1/2 inches which is also10-25%. Her head was in the 75%. She has the proper amount of words and knows her body parts. The only thing we were missing was what sounds each animal makes. So that is what we are working on now.

In the first few pics. Addisyn rediscovered her feet and was very happy to put them in her mouth. She was so funny. In the next picture she now likes to have her plate on the table like we do. And my favorite is the last picture. We ask her where Baby Jesus is and she goes and finds him and says "here". She really wants to play with it but it is very breakable. I need to find one not so delicate. I am really trying to have her understand that it is almost Jesus' birthday. I think she may be understanding.

Finally she did great with Santa. I thought she might cry but nope, she was content sitting on his lap. She did look a little confused but just sat and stared and finally smiled for a picture.

Hope everyone is enjoying this busy month of December!!!!

Getting Ready for Christmas

Well things have been great over here. Busy as usual. Addisyn had a great Thanksgiving. We did not do too much since it fell on my birthday or should I say my birthday fell on Thanksgiving. My mom watched Addisyn at night and Brady I went out to Dave and Busters and had some fun.

We have been decorating for Christmas and I am super proud to say Addisyn is not getting into everything. I was almost sure that we would have to re wrap almost all the presents but she has not messed with them at all. She does not even mess with the tree. She has been getting sick a lot lately and I am sure it is because I take her to the daycare at the gym but what can you do. Nothing major and I hope it stays that way.

Well you can see I taught Addisyn to knock on Daddy's door when he is at work. She thinks it is so funny and so do I. I am not sure how Daddy likes it. This may end up back firing on me one day.

We took Addisyn to see Santa at the hospital where I delivered her. He was supposed to fly in on a helicopter but due to the weather he came in on an ambulance. She thought it was neat but not sure that she could pick who Santa was out of the crowd. It was too busy for her to get to meet him but I am sure she will soon.
Addisyn also had her 1st playgroup over here. She had 4 other kids from our music class over to play. She did well and shared all of her toys. (I was super nervous about that part.) We have been having a lot of fun with that group of kids and they are all within 2 months of Addisyn's age.
Hope everyone is doing well. Still no name for baby #2!!!!
